Artistic Competition
The purpose of the Artistic Competitions at BYCO is not simply to win. In addition to striving for excellence, we encourage the young people to participate in order to prepare for future ministry!
Vocal Solo
The Vocal Solo category is open for boys and girls, and they will be judged separately.
Vocal Group
Vocal groups are comprised of 2-4 people, and the group can be comprised of either gender.
Vocal Ensemble
Vocal Ensembles are singing groups, or choirs, of 5 or more people. Ensembles can also be both boys and girls.
Piano Solo
This category in the Talent Competitions includes boys and girls. Both genders will be competing together.
Piano Duet
Piano duets can include boys and girls. Again, both genders will be evaluated together.
Instrumental Solo
This category includes boys and girls, and can include any instrument other than a piano. The instrumental soloist may be accompanied by a piano.
Instrumental Group
This category includes boys and girls. This can be 2 or more of any instrument, but pianos may not be included.
Song Leading
The Song Leading competition is for boys only. They must lead the congregation in one verse or one song.
Drawing
The Drawing competition includes both boys and girls. It must be a pencil drawing started and completed at camp on paper provided by the Talent Coordinator.
